There are 2 ways to add Fantom network to MetaMask, which I temporarily call manual and automatic. I recommend doing it manually below.

1/ How to add Fantom network to MetaMask

Step 1: Click the drop-down arrow next to the current network name. Select [Add network].

Step 2: Here MetaMask will list popular networks including Fantom Opera. But you should add manually according to the parameters you choose!

Scroll down and click the [Add a network manually] box.

Step 3: You copy the following parameters and paste in the corresponding box on the MetaMask wallet.

2/ Add Fantom network to MetaMask automatically

Here's how to add the Fantom network to MetaMask automatically thanks to third parties. So this is not the way I recommend.

You should only add Fantom network to MetaMask in this way for the purpose of testing, playing or airdrop, retroactive is the main.

It should not be done with the main wallet that contains your funds.

• First you access the website: https://chainlist.org/
• Click [Connet Wallet] to connect the wallet, press confirm on your MetaMask wallet
• Type fantom in the search box. If you want to find the entire tesnet network, check the box [Include Testnets]
• Then you click [Add to MetaMask] in the network you want to add. For example, Fantom Opera.
